April 2012 - My latest commission

This is my latest commission. I have put a few photos on to show part of the knife making process. I enjoyed making this knife and I think that the brass and Rosewood work well together. I have also started to use more patterns and colour on my sheaths.

This full tang survival knife has layered brass and vulcanised fibre bolster, spacers and handle liners. The blade is 440b and is cryogenically hardened to 59 Rockwell, and double tempered.

The sheath is veg tan leather with a brass press stud.

I have another two of these blades and have a really nice bit of yew in mind for the next one. If you interested in one let me know.
