Custom Steak Knives
I have recently finished a pair of custom steak knives that were commissioned as a wedding present. They are made from Silver Fox razor blade steel, hardened to 57 Rockwell, with brass liners and Rosewood handles.
Many steak knives have serated edges, the reason for this is so that they can still tear through the meat even when blunt. Steak knives without a serated edge are actually much sharper, make a smooth easier cut through the meat and are easy to sharpen.
These knives were supplied in one of my new hard wood presentation boxes.

The customer requested that the knives were engraved and you can see in the photo the engraving that shows the place and date of where the couple first met and where they got married.
You can see in this photo the inside of the box and also the filework on the spine of the knives and the brass liners. The colours of the Rosewood and brass work very well together.
